The new Sportsmobile Class C motorhome built on the Dodge Sprinter cab chassis with the turbo-charged Mercedes-Benz diesel engine.

More of my readers come to this site looking for Sportsmobile than for any other manufacturer, so when I heard about this new Sportsmobile, a Class C with a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine, I knew there would be a lot of interest.

Here's the information from the Sportsmobile Company.

After 44 years of specializing in Class B motorhomes, Sportsmobile will offer a Class C motorhome built on the Dodge Sprinter cab chassis. The quiet and highly efficient turbo-charged Mercedes-Benz diesel engine will deliver 17+MPG.

Sportsmobile Texas, in affiliation with The Robel Company of Germany, will make two Sprinter Class C 24' models, the SC-100 and SC-200. Sportsmobile Texas will install the Robel modules, shipped by container, to the Dodge Sprinter cab chassis per RobelÂ’s specifications. Sportsmobile also will install American-made appliances and other parts. This way they can be easily serviced by American RV companies. Upholstery and options also will be installed by Sportsmobile per the customer order. The Dodge Sprinter chassis can be serviced by all Dodge-selected Sprinter dealers.

Sportsmobile Sprinters will comply with all applicable RVIA codes for installation and testing of propane, electrical and plumbing systems.
