RVing at NASCAR Las Vegas

From NASCAR, here is news of the next Las Vegas event:

"It's the fastest growing sports in the United States and where else does the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas fit better than NASCAR? When the Las Vegas Motor Speedway opened, it immediately became one of the best facilities in the country, and got a NASCAR event, which is a hot ticket. NASCAR Las Vegas style is exciting, and is one of the best values in Nevada.

Some tips if you are going to the NASCAR, Busch series, or Craftsman Trucks races during NASCAR week:

1. Arrive early. There are plenty of things to do in and around the track, and it's a little slow in and out.

2. Bring Souvenir money. Especially if you have kids. They will love a NASCAR driver insignia shirt, poster, etc.

3. Stay hydrated. The track is out in the desert! It gets very hot, and with all the racing, it's tough to keep moist. Water is the best. Beer is not a good hydrator, by the way.

4. Rent the Headsets. It's totally worth it to hear the pit crews and your favorite NASCAR drivers chat during the race. Plus, it's louder than you expect.

How do you get tickets? Like any NASCAR event, they sell fast. The best, and maybe cheapest way to get tickets for the event is look at the packages. Sam's Town is a title sponsor of the Sam's Town 300, and has cheap packages that include tickets.

The NASCAR LV bug has bitten many many tourists, and bringing an RV and camping in the infield is also a fun way to experience the best racing Nevada has to offer. Check out all the details at LVMS,the Las Vegas Motor Speedway's official website. There are also dozens of ticket brokers who are willing to provide reservations for big weekend, which is usually early in the NASCAR season."
